Choreographic solutions of the N-body problem are solutions where the bodies follow each other around a closed path, after the famous figure 8 solution discovered by Chenciner and Montgomery in 2000. I will discuss the well-known variational set-up for this problem, and then describe the possible symmetry types of these motions. This is joint work with Katie Steckles.
