Resumen: In this talk we will discuss cohomology classes of a compactification of the configuration space of points on the projective plane: the Hilbert scheme.
 
We will show that many of those classes persist when we apply a birational transformation to the plane. We will provide explicit examples of many of these persistent classes and explain the geometry of them as we modify the underlying plane.
